Trump's Attendance at TRUMP Memecoin Gala Now Officially Confirmed by White House

Following earlier uncertainty about his availability, the White House has now verified that President Donald Trump will participate in a Saturday gathering designed for TRUMP memecoin investors.

According to reports, the White House has now verified that US President Donald Trump plans to make an appearance at the exclusive gathering for leading TRUMP memecoin investors at his Mar-a-Lago estate this Saturday, putting to rest earlier doubts from this month about his participation.

On Friday, Reuters confirmed through White House sources that Trump is scheduled to present a keynote speech at the gala luncheon event, which has been organized by the entity responsible for his Official Trump (TRUMP) memecoin.

Mar-a-Lago will serve as the venue for the gala. Entry to the event will be limited to the leading 297 TRUMP token holders, while the top 29 token holders will receive additional access to a private reception featuring the president.

Back in March when the gathering was initially announced, a White House spokesperson informed Politico that the event had not been firmly added to Trump's calendar and noted that it was scheduled for the same date Trump had committed to attending the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in Washington, DC, marking his first appearance at the event as sitting president.

According to the terms outlined for the event, Trump's attendance remains subject to change, and the gathering "may be canceled for any reason."

Questions surrounding Trump's possible appearance at the gathering have become a source of concern for certain members of Congress, who have voiced criticism that the event represents a conflict of interest for the sitting president.

This month saw Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren, Richard Blumenthal and Adam Schiff reportedly drafting a letter addressed to Bill Zanker, the person responsible for the TRUMP memecoin, raising concerns about whether Trump plans to "dangle access" to himself during the scheduled event.

[O]rganizers are promoting a conference by dangling access to President Trump to potential attendees (and in doing so, are encouraging purchases of his meme coin that will generate transaction fees for the President and his family) on a day he may not actually be able to attend.

This marks the second gathering organized specifically for TRUMP token investors. The inaugural event occurred at a Trump golf club in May 2025 and attracted backlash from critics who argued Trump was exploiting his presidential office for private financial benefit.
