Nasdaq-Listed Solana Infrastructure Firm Receives Strategic Enterprise Status from Hong Kong

A publicly-traded company focused on Solana infrastructure has announced its intention to launch validator operations within Hong Kong's borders.

A government initiative designed to draw companies that contribute to the city's economic growth has led Hong Kong to designate Solana Company (HSDT), a Nasdaq-listed entity, as a strategic enterprise.

In an announcement made Thursday, Solana Company revealed its inclusion in the seventh cohort of companies chosen by the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES) in Hong Kong, noting that it stands as the sole blockchain infrastructure provider welcomed by the office during 2026.

Last week, Hong Kong's government officially announced the inclusion of 18 new enterprises into the strategic program, pushing the overall total number of participants to 142.

In communications with Cointelegraph, a representative from Solana Company explained that receiving this designation provides the firm with consolidated access to various government agencies and regulatory bodies, streamlined procedures for hiring international talent, and connections to institutional partners operating locally.

The business operations of Solana Company encompass validator and staking infrastructure services while also providing consulting to financial institutions regarding blockchain integration. Additionally, the company maintains Solana (SOL) within its digital asset treasury holdings.

According to the company's plans, it intends to launch validator operations within Hong Kong through Pacific Backbone, a project focused on creating a blockchain infrastructure network with low latency throughout the Asia-Pacific geographical region.
