Trueo shifts prediction market platform from Base to Ethereum mainnet

The prediction market platform Trueo is set to transition from the Base network to Ethereum mainnet, pointing to enhanced integration possibilities and stronger network effects as key motivators.

The prediction market platform Trueo has announced plans for a network migration from Base to Ethereum mainnet, highlighting enhanced integration possibilities and aspirations to develop the subsequent version of its oracle infrastructure.

Following its initial deployment on the Base network in March 2025, the project revealed that its primary objectives post-migration include drawing in liquidity and rolling out an improved generation of its oracle—the mechanism responsible for validating real-world events that determine prediction market outcomes.

According to Trueo, the decision to transition away from Base toward Ethereum stems from the latter's superior integration capabilities and greater product development potential, whereas Base's integration options remain confined to its direct ecosystem.

Ethereum is the best chain for the most credibly neutral and truthful oracle system and prediction markets.

"As a new app and experiment, an L2 like Base was the right choice for many reasons. At the time, Mainnet gas costs were still elevated and some features of our app were experimental," Trueo said on X.

"The final form of Trueo is to be a platform that is widely adopted, broadly integrated, fully permissionless, mostly immutable, and highly credible. Ethereum is the best fit for this combination of properties."

According to data from DefiLlama, Trueo currently holds the position of 14th-largest onchain prediction market platform with a total value locked of $795,687.
