Strategy Expands Bitcoin Portfolio by 250 BTC, Total Holdings Now at 848,250 BTC
Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, has accumulated a total of 848,250 BTC following its most recent acquisition, all while keeping a cash reserve of $4.88 billion intact.

In a transaction completed last week, Strategy acquired 250 Bitcoin valued at $21.5 million, representing the second week in a row where the company's purchases have declined, bringing its total Bitcoin accumulation to 848,250 BTC.
According to a statement released on Strategy's official website, the company financed approximately $21 million of these acquisitions through the sale of its common stock shares, while the remaining $500,000 came from cash already on hand during the period spanning Monday through Sunday.
Additionally, Strategy maintained its ongoing buyback program for shares of its STRC preferred stock, allocating $192.4 million throughout the week, which represented an increase from the $176.3 million spent in the prior week.
Data from Yahoo Finance indicated that the company's Nasdaq-listed common stock, trading under the ticker MSTR, showed an increase of less than 1% in pre-market activity before Monday's opening bell. Meanwhile, the preferred stock appeared set to commence trading at a price of $99.68 per share.
According to the company's disclosure, it retains a $4.88 billion US Reserve specifically designated to cover preferred stock dividend obligations and debt interest payments. Additionally, its standalone USD Cash balance registered at $640.5 million as of the end of Sunday.
This latest acquisition came on the heels of a Sunday social media post from founder and executive chair Michael Saylor, who hinted at yet another Bitcoin acquisition with his statement, "There's always room for more orange." Strategy customarily discloses its Bitcoin acquisitions through official filings submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, an agency that remained closed Monday in observance of the Columbus Day holiday.
The pace of Strategy's Bitcoin accumulation has experienced a notable deceleration in recent months. Throughout the third quarter, its holdings expanded by merely 0.2%, as the company purchased 7,218 BTC during the period while simultaneously divesting 5,553 BTC.
