Saylor reveals Strategy's $30B digital credit potential for additional Bitcoin acquisitions

Strategy's executive chairman Michael Saylor reveals the company possesses capacity to generate up to $30 billion in digital credit for Bitcoin purchases without requiring new common stock issuance or BTC price increases.

Strategy, a corporate Bitcoin treasury holder, is pursuing additional Bitcoin acquisitions by leveraging preferred-share offerings for financing, according to executive chairman Michael Saylor, who disclosed the firm's capability to produce up to $30 billion worth of digital credit.

Saylor revealed during the company's earnings call for the third quarter that Strategy possesses the ability to produce this substantial amount utilizing its current balance sheet position, eliminating the need for further common-stock fundraising efforts or additional appreciation in Bitcoin's market value.

We could create $10 billion, $20 billion, $30 billion of digital credit.

This significant financing capability underscores Strategy's strategic pivot toward preferred-share instruments like STRC as the preferred mechanism for funding its Bitcoin accumulation strategy, moving away from previous reliance on convertible debt instruments or sales of common shares.

According to CEO Phong Le's remarks during the earnings call, the issuance of digital credit would serve as Strategy's principal approach for future Bitcoin acquisitions.

The primary way to acquire Bitcoin is by issuing digital credit.

Le explained that should Strategy successfully raise between $1 billion and $2 billion within a monthly period through its STRC offerings, the company would allocate a portion of the capital to maintain dollar reserves while dedicating the remaining funds toward Bitcoin purchases.

Strategy disclosed third-quarter net income of $19.53 billion, with the majority attributable to a substantial $20.91 billion increase in the valuation of its digital asset portfolio. The company's Bitcoin position stood at 848,517 BTC as of Oct. 25, representing a 26% increase on a year-to-date basis.

It's important to note that the $30 billion amount reflects the company's theoretical capacity for credit generation rather than a formal announcement of a specific fundraising objective.
