Japanese Firm Remixpoint Exits Altcoin Holdings, Retains 1,506 BTC in Exclusive Strategy Shift

Japanese company Remixpoint divested $5.5 million worth of ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE holdings, realizing a net profit of $736,000 while consolidating its cryptocurrency approach to exclusively hold Bitcoin.

As one of Japan's most prominent corporate holders of Bitcoin, Remixpoint has divested its entire portfolio of alternative cryptocurrencies, maintaining approximately 1,506 BTC (valued at $115 million) as its exclusive digital asset position while refocusing its cryptocurrency investment approach entirely on Bitcoin.

The Japanese firm liquidated its complete holdings of Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP (XRP) and Dogecoin (DOGE) for a total of 878.8 million yen ($5.5 million), realizing a profit of 117.8 million yen ($736,000), according to a company announcement released on Wednesday.

While the firm posted profits from the disposal of its ETH, SOL and XRP positions, its DOGE holdings were liquidated at a loss of 3.26 million yen ($20,000). The divestment was finalized on Tuesday, with the company anticipating that the profit will be reflected in its second-quarter results for the fiscal year concluding in March 2027.

Prior to executing the sale, the company's portfolio included approximately 901 ETH, 13,920 SOL, 1.19 million XRP and 2.8 million DOGE. At current market rates according to CoinGecko data at publication time, these positions would represent values of roughly $2.14 million, $1.36 million, $1.57 million and $226,000, in that order.

The decision to liquidate these alternative cryptocurrency assets came after the company evaluated prevailing market dynamics, analyzed the risk-reward profiles of each asset, and reassessed its overall financial approach, Remixpoint explained. According to the firm, concentrating its digital currency portfolio exclusively on Bitcoin serves to "clarify investment strategy" and "improve capital efficiency."

The company has additionally been producing income from its Bitcoin position. Through lending activities conducted from Feb. 24 through Aug. 31, Remixpoint generated 14.92 BTC, which equated to 164.2 million yen ($1 million) in value, the disclosure indicated.
