Following a four-year operational period, move-to-earn platform Step App has announced its closure, becoming the latest addition to an expanding list of cryptocurrency ventures shutting down during the persistent market downturn.

In an announcement made on X this Wednesday, the platform revealed that all its services would cease operations by Aug. 21, urging its user base to unstake any locked tokens and handle their exchange positions prior to the specified deadline.
