Bitcoin Miner Hyperscale Data Liquidates 100 BTC for Michigan AI Facility Development
In a strategic move, the cryptocurrency mining company is leveraging portions of its Bitcoin holdings and establishing a credit line backed by BTC to finance an artificial intelligence facility connected to a potentially multi-billion-dollar service agreement.

Cryptocurrency mining firm Hyperscale Data has liquidated approximately 100 Bitcoin and established a credit line backed by Bitcoin holdings to finance the development of an artificial intelligence data center in Michigan, the company revealed in an announcement made on Thursday.
According to the company's statement, funds obtained from selling the Bitcoin (BTC) are being allocated toward construction expenses and the acquisition of essential infrastructure and equipment with extended lead times for the Michigan facility. The credit facility secured against Bitcoin assets is projected to offer financing with variable interest rates ranging from approximately 4.5% to 5.0%.
The Michigan facility is under development to fulfill the requirements of a master services agreement announced previously with an AI infrastructure provider whose identity has not been disclosed, with initial plans covering approximately 20 megawatts of artificial intelligence computing capacity. The agreement spans a 10-year period and features two optional extensions of five years each, with projected revenue exceeding $1.2 billion should all options be fully utilized.
Under the terms of the agreement, the AI infrastructure provider maintains the option to increase capacity by an additional 32 MW during the initial two-year period. Should this expansion option be activated and sustained throughout the potential extension periods, the agreement's aggregate value would surpass $3 billion, the company stated.
Previously operating under the name Ault Alliance, the business underwent a rebranding to Hyperscale Data during 2024 as part of a strategic pivot toward AI infrastructure development while continuing to maintain its cryptocurrency mining operations. Trading on the NYSE American exchange under the ticker symbol (GPUS), the company's stock price climbed more than 5% during late morning hours on Thursday, based on information from Yahoo Finance.
According to information compiled by BitcoinTreasuries.NET, the firm maintains holdings of approximately 1,006 BTC, positioning it as the 44th-largest publicly traded corporate holder of Bitcoin.
