Arbitrum Welcomes Paxos USDG Stablecoin Worth $3 Billion
The arrival of Paxos' USDG stablecoin on Arbitrum comes with a proposed incentive package of 100 million ARB tokens designed to accelerate adoption and enhance liquidity pools.

The Global Dollar (USDG) stablecoin from Paxos is now available on Arbitrum, marking the blockchain's entry into the Global Dollar Network ecosystem.
Based on details provided to Cointelegraph in an official announcement, USDG has been issued natively on Arbitrum One and features integration with multiple decentralized finance platforms such as Fluid, Morpho, GMX and Maple. The cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has enabled support for deposit and withdrawal functionality, and Stargate facilitates cross-chain transfers connecting Arbitrum with additional blockchain networks.
The ArbitrumDAO has received a proposal that would establish USDG expansion as a key strategic priority and allocate 100 million ARB tokens toward an incentive initiative designed to drive broader adoption. The same proposal recommends utilizing Arbitrum treasury holdings to bolster USDG liquidity provision, and companies that integrate the stablecoin into their platforms will have access to potential support from the Arbitrum Foundation.
Through its participation as a partner in the Global Dollar Network, Arbitrum stands to receive a portion of the rewards produced by USDG-related activity occurring on its network, with these funds earmarked for adoption initiatives and ecosystem expansion efforts.
Data from the Arbitrum Foundation indicates that approximately $4 billion worth of stablecoins are presently maintained on Arbitrum. Meanwhile, USDG ranks as the seventh-largest stablecoin measured by market capitalization, with roughly $3.09 billion currently in circulation based on information from DeFiLlama. The majority of USDG's supply remains concentrated across X Layer, Robinhood Chain and Solana networks.
Arbitrum targets growing tokenization market
The introduction of USDG arrives during a period when Arbitrum is broadening its scope beyond applications native to cryptocurrency, positioning itself as foundational infrastructure for financial platforms that are bringing conventional assets onchain.
Robinhood Chain represents the most notable illustration of this trend, having launched its public mainnet in July following the debut of a public testnet in February. This Ethereum layer-2 network has been constructed using Arbitrum technology and is engineered to accommodate tokenized real-world and digital assets, featuring capabilities such as round-the-clock trading, lending marketplaces and perpetual futures trading platforms.
In the previous month, Standard Chartered indicated that Robinhood Chain could represent a transformation in Arbitrum's economic model, noting that the network stands to collect 10% of net protocol revenue produced by companies developing on top of its infrastructure.
The financial institution projected that this economic arrangement, when combined with the expanding asset tokenization sector, has the potential to propel ARB to a $10 valuation by 2030, representing approximately 70 times its value at that point in time. Standard Chartered anticipates that tokenized assets will achieve a $4 trillion market size by the conclusion of 2028, positioning Arbitrum as one of the likely beneficiaries as increasing volumes of assets transition onchain.
