Crypto.com achieves first-of-its-kind AI certification while accelerating artificial intelligence initiatives

The digital asset platform is positioning AI services as a core pillar of its business strategy, participating in the industry-wide race to integrate artificial intelligence technology.

According to Crypto.com, the platform has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the inaugural digital asset company to secure an internationally recognized certification for managing artificial intelligence systems as part of its ongoing expansion efforts in this space.

In an announcement made Monday, the platform revealed it had obtained ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, which serves as a global benchmark for establishing and operating an AI management system.

"Security and privacy continue to be a core focus for us, particularly as we scale our AI-driven infrastructure and services," said Crypto.com information security chief Jason Lau, adding that the certification ensures "every AI system we develop and deploy is secure, transparent, and aligned with emerging regulatory expectations."

Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com, characterized the certification as "an important step as we continue to leverage AI tools and technologies."

In recent developments, Crypto.com has embraced the provision of AI services that integrate with its cryptocurrency platform, introducing software development kits alongside specialized data services. The company additionally unveiled the ai.com AI agent platform on Feb. 9, positioning it as a fundamental component of its business operations.

Through this newly established website, users gain the ability to build AI agents capable of executing routine tasks including trading activities and workflow management.

According to Marszalek, the company's objective centers on advancing AI capabilities "by building a decentralized network of autonomous, self-improving AI agents that perform real-world tasks for the good of humanity."

Industry leaders and cryptocurrency users have demonstrated significant enthusiasm for AI technology, with organizations scrambling to provide AI-powered services in an effort to stay competitive amid the widespread excitement surrounding these innovations.

AI agents designed for cryptocurrency applications, which possess the capability to execute transactions independently without requiring human oversight, have experienced a surge in adoption as market participants seek competitive advantages in the perpetually operating marketplace.

Competing cryptocurrency platform Coinbase has similarly moved to provide AI-focused services, rolling out crypto wallet infrastructure on Feb. 11 that enables AI agents to spend, earn and trade crypto.
