Bitmine Continues Ether Accumulation Strategy Amid ETH's Superior Performance Over BTC
The firm purchased approximately 10,000 ETH in the last seven days, bringing total reserves to 5.79 million Ether, with approximately 85% of these holdings currently staked via the company's validator network.

On Monday, Bitmine Immersion Technologies revealed its Ether reserves now stand at 5.79 million ETH, representing approximately 4.8% of the cryptocurrency's entire supply, following an acquisition of close to 10,000 ETH during the previous week.
According to Bitmine's disclosure, around 4.9 million ETH (ETH), which accounts for approximately 85% of the company's total holdings, are currently staked via its validator operations. The firm estimates annualized staking rewards will reach approximately $299 million after its complete Ether portfolio is distributed throughout its staking infrastructure and partner validator network. As of July 26, the company reports total assets including cryptocurrency holdings, cash reserves and marketable securities valued at $11.8 billion.
These recent acquisitions arrive during a period when Ether has demonstrated superior performance compared to Bitcoin (BTC) throughout the previous week. According to data from CoinGecko, ETH has appreciated approximately 2.4% during the past seven days, while Bitcoin has declined by roughly 0.7%. In the Monday disclosure, Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee noted that the increasing ETH/BTC ratio, which he characterized as reaching a three-month peak, indicated growing momentum for Ether.
The company has constructed what represents the world's most substantial corporate Ether treasury, positioned second only to Strategy among publicly traded corporations when measured by the total value of digital asset reserves. Nevertheless, Bitmine's acquisition approach has recently taken a different path from Strategy's methodology, as the latter has suspended Bitcoin acquisitions in the past several weeks.
Strategy disclosed on Monday that it had generated $544.5 million via stock offerings, repurchased $25 million worth of its STRC preferred shares and expanded its US dollar reserve to reach $3.75 billion, all while preserving its position of 843,775 BTC.
