Strategy Executive Chairman Saylor Proposes Digital Rights Framework for Tomorrow's Economy
In a recent essay, Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy, argued for empowering "10 million new companies to raise capital" through digital asset freedoms.

According to Michael Saylor, who co-founded Strategy, the era of digital intelligence and assets requires a comprehensive "bill of digital rights" instead of imposing limitations and constraints.
The potential of an AI-driven era to boost production can only be fully realized through improved monetary systems and more effective capital markets, Saylor argued in an essay he shared on the social media platform X this past Saturday. Saylor serves as executive chairman of the company that holds the world's largest corporate Bitcoin reserves.
In his essay, Saylor outlined that an effective framework governing digital assets must establish five core rights, or fundamental freedoms.
The rights Saylor identified include (1) the freedom to generate and create new digital assets and (2) to launch them into the marketplace for the purpose of funding business ventures and enhancing productivity. Additionally, they encompass (3) the right to maintain custody of these assets personally or select a trusted custodian, along with (4) the ability to transfer them, facilitating the movement of assets between individuals, corporations, digital wallets and various service providers. The fifth right is (5) to utilize them, which includes spending, making investments, generating income and using digital assets as collateral for loans.
Saylor emphasized that these rights must extend to both individual persons and corporate entities. "An asset's value depends on what its owner can do with it. Restrict its usefulness, and you restrict its economic potential," he stated.
Because digital intelligence will inevitably automate numerous jobs and render many existing products obsolete, the prosperity of tomorrow hinges on our capacity to generate new business ventures and opportunities at an accelerated rate, Saylor explained, noting that "our ambition should be to enable 10 million new companies to raise capital."
