Developer Creates Platform Enabling AI Agents to Hire Real People for Physical Tasks

A new platform allows individuals to list hourly rates for completing tasks ranging from simple errands to corporate meetings. The website was developed through 'Ralph loop' AI agents, representing a vibe coding approach.

A cryptocurrency developer has created a website representing what could be viewed as an innovative yet somewhat dystopian application of artificial intelligence, allowing AI agents to employ human workers for physical world assignments.

Through a Monday post on X, Alex, known by the handle @AlexanderTw33ts, who works as an engineer for Uma Protocol, a decentralized finance platform, and Across Protocol, a layer-2 bridging solution, demonstrated his creation "rentahuman.ai" through a video presentation.

The platform allows people to establish their own hourly compensation rates and permits AI agents to contract them for tasks spanning from basic errands to attending corporate meetings, capturing photographs, executing document signatures, and conducting purchases in the physical world.

According to Alex, the pool of available humans for rental currently features individuals including an OnlyFans model and a CEO from an AI startup company, with his statement noting:

"If your AI agent wants to rent a person to do an IRL task for them its as simple as one MCP call."

The platform declares that "robots need your body" due to their inability to "touch grass," while branding itself as serving the role of "the meatspace layer for AI."

The homepage displays an array of humans available for hire, includes a button allowing users to "become rentable," and presents statistics tracking the platform's expansion.

According to the site's data, nearly 26,000 individuals have registered thus far; though this figure may encompass duplicate accounts from single users or cases of identity misrepresentation, issues that Alex acknowledged they have been actively addressing.

During a Tuesday interview featured on the Crosschain podcast from Across Protocol, Alex verified that the platform will not incorporate any cryptocurrency element, providing additional project details.

"There's no token, I'm just not into that. That would just be way too stressful, and also again I don't want a bunch of people to lose their money,"

he stated.

Contributing an additional dimension of intrigue to the endeavor, Alex revealed the website's creation involved "vibe coding" utilizing an "army" of Claude-based AI agents.

The development process employed a Ralph loop, which represents a methodology of executing AI coding agents in continuous cycles until task completion is achieved.

"I think we are out of the trough of disillusionment [toward AI capabilities] and now people are realizing we can ship real code with this, we can just write prompts now, we can have Ralph loops creating websites while we sleep,"

he explained.

"And actually, a Ralph loop created this [website], I have a custom Ralph loop that I run,"

he further elaborated.

Rentahuman.ai isn't the sole unusual AI agent website to surface in 2026, with the AI agent social networking platform Moltbook generating attention this month.

That website, which also resulted from vibe coding practices, functions as a Reddit-style platform exclusively designed for AI bots and has attracted interest due to the peculiar conversations occurring on the platform, including instances of bots developing their own religious belief systems.
