Canton Strategic Holdings to Launch Blockchain-Based Stock Tokens on November 2
Canton Strategic Holdings, traded on Nasdaq, is set to introduce tokenized trading of CNTN shares via the Canton Network starting Nov. 2, leveraging the SEC's innovation exemption framework.

Previously operating under the name Tharimmune as a biotechnology enterprise, Canton Strategic Holdings has revealed its intention to convert its common stock into digital tokens on the Canton Network, with the launch anticipated to take place no later than Nov. 2.
In a statement released on Thursday, the firm disclosed its collaboration with TSV LLC, a marketplace specializing in tokenized securities, alongside Fairmint, a transfer agent registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, to facilitate the blockchain integration of its equity. These digital tokens will maintain identical shareholder privileges as the conventional shares currently listed on Nasdaq.
Trading under the CNTN ticker on Nasdaq, the company's shares see an average of 757,704 shares change hands daily, based on information from Yahoo Finance. Most recently, the equity was experiencing gains exceeding 4.5% during the trading session, priced at approximately $2.13 per share, translating to a market capitalization of $170 million.
The tokenized equity will be accessible for trading 24 hours a day via an automated market maker system, featuring instantaneous settlement of transactions on the Canton Network. Fairmint will be responsible for maintaining shareholder records and ensuring adherence to regulations governing share transfers.
This development comes on the heels of an innovation exemption granted by the SEC in September, which the organizations indicate establishes a compliant framework for facilitating tokenized trading of US equities on platforms based in the United States.
The company pivoted toward digital asset operations in November 2025 following a successful capital raise of $545 million aimed at establishing a venture centered on Canton Coin. The corporate rebranding occurred in February, and the firm currently maintains holdings in the cryptocurrency, contributes to Canton Network operations, and allocates capital to blockchain-based initiatives.
It bears noting that Canton Strategic Holdings, despite sharing its name, did not create the Canton Network, which was originally built by Digital Asset. The company does, however, maintain connections to the Canton Foundation via its investment portfolio and involvement in network governance activities.
