CEO Confirms CertiK Maintains IPO Ambitions With $2B Valuation

During a Thursday appearance in Davos, Ronghui Gu, the company's co-founder and CEO, indicated that taking CertiK public would mark a major milestone for the Web3 sector.

According to co-founder and CEO Ronghui Gu, blockchain security firm CertiK continues to consider a potential initial public offering as part of its future plans.

During a Thursday interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, with Acumen Media, Gu revealed that CertiK currently holds a valuation of approximately $2 billion and that moving forward with a public listing would be a logical progression for the organization. The CEO noted, however, that achieving this objective would require "investment, lots of strategic partnerships" from the company.

"We still do not have a very concrete IPO plan, but this is definitely the goal we are pursuing," Gu stated, further emphasizing that a CertiK public offering would mark an important milestone for infrastructure companies operating in the Web3 space:

"Many people want to see the success of CertiK, want to see the successful IPO of CertiK, because they view [it as] important not only for CertiK but also for the industry."

As a blockchain security firm, CertiK specializes in smart contract auditing services and offers risk monitoring solutions for cryptocurrency projects.

CertiK isn't alone in pursuing public market ambitions, as numerous other blockchain and crypto firms are reportedly preparing to go public down the road, with Ledger among them. On Thursday, custody firm BitGO initiated its IPO with a valuation reportedly exceeding $2 billion, beginning share trading on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2021, Coinbase became the first major crypto exchange based in the United States to go public, while stablecoin provider Circle completed its public listing in June 2025.

The CertiK IPO update from Gu represented just one of numerous announcements made by cryptocurrency industry leaders present in Davos. The gathering featured notable attendees including Changpeng Zhao, the former CEO of Binance, alongside Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, and Jeremy Allaire, who leads Circle as CEO.
