Tokenized shares of Nvidia, Tesla, and Apple now accepted as collateral on Bybit

The exchange platform Bybit has begun accepting six tokenized U.S. equities, such as Nvidia, Tesla and Apple, to be used as collateral for cryptocurrency loans and margin trading activities.

The cryptocurrency exchange Bybit, which operates from Dubai, has introduced support for six tokenized equities as acceptable collateral for lending services and margin trading, broadening the practical applications of equity tokens built on blockchain technology.

This recent development permits qualified users, both retail and institutional, to utilize tokenized equity positions in Nvidia (NVDAX), Robinhood (HOODX), Circle (CRCLX), Tesla (TSLAX), Alphabet (GOOGLX) and Apple (AAPLX) as collateral across multiple services including margin trading and borrowing via Bybit's Unified Trading Account, Crypto Loans and Institutional Loans. Access to this functionality depends on Bybit's lending conditions and the availability of specific products.

The exchange initially launched xStocks in June via a collaboration with Backed, a tokenization platform, bringing more than 60 tokenized U.S. equities and exchange-traded funds to its spot trading marketplace. These digital assets maintain a 1:1 backing with the actual underlying securities, which remain under the custody of a regulated custodian.

Additional cryptocurrency exchanges have similarly broadened their acceptance of tokenized equity instruments as collateral. Kraken, which announced its acquisition of Backed in late 2025, started allowing certain tokenized equities and exchange-traded funds as collateral for margin trading and futures earlier this month. Bitget has likewise incorporated support for tokenized stocks as collateral, initially rolling out the capability for futures margin in June before extending it to cryptocurrency loans in July.

Information from RWA.xyz indicates the tokenized equities sector has experienced significant growth throughout the past year, with aggregate distributed value climbing from approximately $361 million in late July 2025 to around $1.72 billion today.
