Within a single week, the foundation of software development experienced two seismic shifts. The Conversation released on May 4 what has become the most extensively shared analysis of Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview, the cutting-edge model that Anthropic chose not to release publicly due to its capacity to independently identify zero-day vulnerabilities, create functional exploits, and carry out complex cyber operations requiring little human intervention.
