Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the United States saw net inflows surpassing $1.7 billion during a two-day period, coinciding with Bitcoin's price rising above the calculated average cost basis for typical ETF investors.

Net inflows into the funds totaled $715 million on Tuesday, coming on the heels of Monday's $999 million intake, which marked the highest daily inflow for 2026, based on data from SoSoValue.

The combined net assets held by US spot Bitcoin ETFs stood at approximately $111 billion on Tuesday, marking a 56% surge from the 2026 low of about $71 billion that was recorded on June 30. However, this total still sits roughly 13% beneath the 2026 peak of $128 billion that was achieved on Jan. 14.

Leading Tuesday's inflow activity was BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) with $350 million, trailed by Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) at $257 million and Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust with $99 million, data from Farside Investors showed.

James Seyffart, an ETF analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence, noted on Monday that the typical Bitcoin ETF investor had returned to profitability for the first time since January, as Bitcoin's price climbed above his calculated ETF cost basis estimate of $81,722 per coin.

These recent inflows occurred while Bitcoin was trading near the $86,000 level on Tuesday, data from CoinGecko indicated. Following a momentary spike above $87,000 on Wednesday, BTC was priced at $86,467 at the time of publication, reflecting a 1.2% gain over the previous 24 hours and a 13.8% increase across the seven-day period.
